Cefalù, famous coastal village, located along the central east coast of Sicily, at the bottom of the "parco delle Madonie", is one of the most delightful place of north Sicily. We'll begin the visit from the rock, where we can find the temple of Diana and the castle with its megalitic walls. From this place, the view of Cefalù and the entire coast between Palermo and Messina will enjoy you. Coming down from the rock, we'll go for a walk into antic streets, driving us to the "Duomo di Cefalù" and to the ancient washhouse in the bottom of the city. It's time to go to Castelbueno, a small medieval village located in the "Parco della Madonie". Its historical center, preciously conserved , will fascinate your eyes. The city surrounds the "castello dei Ventimiglia" and a particular bizantyne house called "Ypsigro". Walking around this place is like entering another dimension: the pleasant smells, flavor and typical traditions will leave you unique emotions. The most popular monuments we'll visit in Castelbuono are: "la Madrice Vecchia" (a church build on the XIV century ), the "Castello dei Ventimiglia" build in1317 , and the "Capella Palatina" that, still today, is a precious monument with its statues decorated with gold. Last but not least, we'll close our visit with a degustation of pastries and flavors typically Sicilian in one of the most famous pastry shop of Italy.
